Principal of Exchange

But without faith it is impossible to please Him; For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him.”

“Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that you give out, shall it be measured unto you again.” Luke 6:38

Right now, all around the world, business is being conducted. Commerce, trade, bartering, and many types of exchanges take place on a continual basis. Every nation, every culture, and every language takes part in this system without a second thought. If we need to buy fuel for our cars, if we would like some food or clothing, desire to see a movie or have some entertainment, we know that we must bring something to transact with, in return for these goods and services.

At Abundant Life Ministries, we are not just referring to a fascination with money, tithing, offerings, and financial matters, although we do feel giving of our time and resources is a sound principle in God’s Word; The purpose of this paper is to provide you a practical revelation that can be used in EVERY aspect of your life. We are constantly “counting the cost” in our lives making sure we have the correct monetary content, the legal tender, so that we can confidently obtain the things we desire. There are also Physical Manifestations of this Principle of Exchange. The Scientific world calls it a symbiotic relationship. Trees, plants, and all vegetation produce oxygen which we breathe in, we then exhale carbon dioxide, which is then used by the plants and trees to exist. These are merely 2 instances of the cycles within life. I am sure you can think of other examples that are even more specific to you.

If these principles are true in the natural, then we know that there are even deeper revelations within our Spiritual side that reflects this same phenomenon. As followers of Jesus, we know that basic life issues are even more true in the realm of the Spirit. This gives us a clue into why Our Lord Jesus spoke in parables--because the natural world is a reflection of the hidden things of God!

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but it is the honor of Kings to search out a matter”. Proverbs 25:2.

“All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.” John 1:3

“Unto me, whom less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the gentiles the unreachable riches of Christ. And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world has been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God”. Ephesians 3:8-10.

It is God’s INTENTION to reveal to the church the multi-dimensional wisdom that has been hidden--and He wants it to happen IN YOU! Sowing and reaping is an unchangeable mandate from God, and for us to live in a way that ignores or even denies this truth, insults the very character of our God and The Creator, Our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Be not deceived God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. For he that sows to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that sows to The Spirit shall of The Spirit reap everlasting life.” Galatians 6:7-8

This is a foundational truth; a principle of exchange at work all around us. Beauty for Ashes, Salvation for Sacrifice, Grace for sin……It is eternally in God’s nature and cannot be changed by man. We must exchange, in order to receive….And God Himself is our example.

“For God so loved the world that HE GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever BELIEVES in Him will not perish, but HAVE everlasting life.” John 3:16

Our Heavenly Father GAVE His Son to RECEIVE many sons unto Himself! And He has promised that if we believe (Give) in Him, we would have (Receive) eternal Salvation. Jesus said any man who attempted to save (Keep) his life would lose his life, but if a man would lose (Give) his life he would find (Receive) it again! King David would not offer a sacrifice that cost him nothing (II Samuel 24:24) because he understood the Principle of Exchange, the cycle of God that brings Life from death.

“…you fool, that which is sown is not quickened unless it dies….” I Corinthians 15:36.

There is a pathway of reception, an avenue of blessing that has been ordained of God for every believer in covenant relationship--The Principle of Exchange. This is the foundational truth that allows Tithing and Offerings to God’s kingdom to work in our lives. What God has sown into our lives cannot be conserved, it must be re-sown into the kingdom in order to cause the blessing of God to continue in abundance! This is the appointed time, this is due season for the body of Jesus Christ to rise to our calling, to be the exchangers the world is crying out for by using the only commodity that Our Lord honors: Faith.
